With the state Supreme Court’s ruling that Connecticut’s public campaign financing system, the Citizen’s Election Fund, is unconstitutional, the debate over using taxpayer dollars to finance political campaigns has returned to the capitol.
State Senator Dan Debicella (R-21) and State Representative Jason Perillo (R-113) applauded the awarding of a $30,000 Justice Assistance Grant to Shelton to buy outside surveillance equipment for the local police department property.
The U.S. Census, once every 10 years, is an important survey that determines, among other things, how much federal aid is received by our state, as well as how many representatives in Congress we are allocated.
